Golden hour in Tampere in May

Tampere lies at 61.50° N, in the subpolar zone, with drawn-out twilight either side of midsummer. Its longest measured day falls on Fri 19 June 2026 with 19h 30m of daylight, and its shortest on Sat 19 December 2026 with 5h 21m — a difference of 14h 09m between the two extremes.

The sun sets toward 329° NNW in late June and toward 216° SW in late December, a shift of about 113° in where the last light lands — worth checking before committing to a west-facing viewpoint. In Tampere, around midsummer the sky never reaches full darkness — evening blue hour runs into morning twilight.
